One of my favorite things to do when I was younger in the fall (AKA harvest season in Iowa) was to ride in the combine with my dad. He would always be so busy in the field that I would go and ride in the combine with him and it was always fun to talk on the CB to the other guys in the field. I was really excited for Addy to be able to ride in the combine with Papa George when we headed to Iowa. I have to work Thanksgiving this year so we aren't for sure when we will be able to get back so we thought we better take advantage of a free weekend!
It was a great trip. We saw Grandma Cheryl and Great Grandpa and Grandma P. Poor Papa Rex spent time raking his out of control leaves just to have them destroyed by two crazy girls! Then we headed out to the farm where Addy and her cousin Ava rode in the combine with Papa George. I was so glad that Addy loved her ride! Sunday before we left, we had a little get together with the Meyer side.
