We had a fun and crazy weekend (what else is new?)! Friday, we headed to Iowa to visit JD's family. I usually dread traveling with kiddos because of all the screaming, tantruming, frequent stops, and all the laundry I get to do when I get home, but since we were driving the Traverse, I was pretty excited to test it out on a road trip. And, it drove pretty well and got good gas mileage (I'm still working on JD to buy it for me). We made it to JD's parents in 4 hours which isn't too bad as it is normally a 3 hour drive without any children not to mention it was storming for the first hour of the drive along with a ton of road construction! - Note that I have a little lot of road rage!
It was the first time in while that we had seen JD's cousins and his grandparents. They all met Jackson for the first time and we met JD's cousin's baby Camille for the first time. Camille was born just 5 weeks after Jax and it was SO fun watching them play and interact with each other. Addy loved on the babies like they were both "hers" and asked me when we got home where her new sister was. She was pretty disappointed to find out that Camille is not ours!

It was hard for the kids to say goodbye to everyone today but it was good to get home after a long and fun-filled weekend!
