JD's brother and his wife Becky eloped last October to Vegas and had an open house over the weekend at their home in Minneapolis. We saw so many of JD's family that we had not seen since our wedding three years ago and some even longer ago than that. It was great seeing Becky's sisters again and meeting more of Becky's family too. The trip up to MN was not bad at all compared to the 12 hours it took us to get to the cabin a few weeks back. We managed to only stop once in Ames making it a 7 hour drive with the kiddos - Not bad at all!
Addison had a blast playing with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and she even made some new friends! Everyone is now aware of Addison's obsession with shoes as she stole/borrowed/wore just about every woman's shoes at the open house. It really is an ongoing problem we have with her so I apologize if Addy stole your shoes. Every time I saw her sprint by me through the day, she had on a different pair of heels that were about 10 sizes too big and I think that I even heard her ask someone "Can I please wear your shoes?" You could tell everyone would cringe when they would see her sprint by in 2 inch heels - Not me, because I know she is pro already! That's our girlie girl! Jackson discovered stairs and was pretty impressed with himself that he could crawl up them in record timing...he is such a big boy!
Sunday, we all met at Hell's Kitchen and went out for brunch which was great and the place had a pretty cool atmosphere. So if anyone is headed to Minneapolis, you should definitely check it out for brunch!
Here are a few pics from the party -
I don't think that JD and I have had a picture taken of just us for a while
Mmmm...dessert (why do I always have to take pictures of the food?)
JD's mother's side of the family!
JD and his bro...they don't look anything alike do they?
Addy found herself a friend who she called her "sister". They held hand, whispered to each other and were inseparable...where on earth did she learn this? Certainly, not from me!
Jackson crawled on cement for the first time
Uncle Jim telling one his stories! I just had to put this is in here!
Addy with Aunt Becky
Congratulations Ryan and Becky!

Mmm that dessert does look good!
