recap

This week has been really busy and it doesnt seem to be slowing down! I can't seem to get caught up with anything so needless to say this is why I have been absent from blogging (and because my computer is crapping out on me). So I will recap this last week: Last weekend was great because I had my hubby back from Canada and it was Father's Day weekend. You can check out JD's Father's Day gift from Addy and Jax down below in the next post. We made him a photobook from Shutterfly while he was in Canada. Addy almost gave the surprise away! When JD walked in the house from Canada, Addy announced to JD "I made you a book Daddy!" My mouth just dropped open, but not worry, JD was slightly confused and happened to bring Addy a book home as a gift so thought she was asking for her book - whew! But it turned out awesome and JD LOVED it! It was pretty cute, Addy brought it into JD early Sunday morning and asked him to read her "this" book Daddy. She then continued to serenade him with Happy Birthday! She might have been every slightly confused about Father's Day! Then for the rest of the day, we headed to the farmer's market to get some fresh fruits and veggies (I am making my own organic baby food) and they had a flea market too (JD was in heaven). We were going to have a picnic but with it being 90 some odd degrees out with a heat index of 100, we decided to nix the picnic and headed home and spent the day at our neighborhood pool! It felt amazing in this heat!

It was back to work Monday for both JD and I. Good news - JD's position got reinstated at work so...I guess you can say he was un-laid off - does that make sense? The company decided to make some BIG changes and everyone is with a position and we will see how the rest of the year plays out! I am still keeping JD's resume updated though just in case! I also worked Monday night and was crazy busy, slept some on Tuesday, and then worked again Wednesday night which didn't turn out as bad as it could have because I was floated to the PICU (I will get to that later since it deserves a post of its own), took a nap Thursday morning, had a conference call in the afternoon, and did some errands. We (Jd and I) watched Confessions on a Shopaholic before we went to bed Thursday night! (Yes - JD liked it too).

Today, the housework has caught up to me. I have done 3 loads of laundry, cleaned out the Traverse so I can take it back to the dealership later today (Mommy Madness is over), and I discovered ants in our house so I have been panicing all day, have vacuumed about 3 times, and have been cleaning the house like a mad woman! I HATE bugs - especially ants (in the house), June bugs, mosquitos, gnats, spiders (they are the worst), and I hate worms - ok so I hate all bugs, worms, mice and rats! So, the ants have caused an uproar in our house no less and now I have to load the kids up just to go and buy some of those ant killer thingymabobs! Addy also has been in cahoots about these ants and has taken it upon herself to smash any she sees with JD's shoes! This has all happened today and it is not even noon yet!

So, this weekend is my Grandfather's BIG birthday party so we are headed to Shen to see the family and celebrate ---right after JD gets done fishing Saturday because apparently Walleye are biting and he thinks he has to fish! Then I work Monday and Wednesday night and then we are headed to Minnesota for the 4th when I get off work Thurday morning...I have not packed or made a list of what to bring, I have not found someone to watch the dog yet, and in the next few days, I have to get Addisons haircut, Choxie needs to go to the vet to get her shots and then to the groomers to get her summer haircut (she may otherwise die of this incredible heat)! Jackson is now mobile and on the loose so I also need to re-baby proof our house! Oh - and did I mention that I hate heat (I do love the thunderstorms though) and it is 91 degrees with a heat idex of 110 and the humidity is about 90% today and for the rest of the weekend... thank goodness for air conditioning. I would not be able to survive without it!
Here are some pics I took of the kids at the pool!
