It has been a good but really long week. JD left last Thursday for Canada for a fishing trip with some family members and I stayed home with the kids...yes, me and the kids alone for 8 days...ok so not too alone. My mom came down over the weekend to help out and we saw Julie and John a couple times too, but ultimately it was me alone with the kids...I didn't get much sleep but I enjoyed my time with them and it didn't take me too long after being off work for 13 days to realize that I didn't really want to go back. With me working even 2 nights a week, I am pretty tired and always playing catch-up with the housework. I don't really feel that I get to spend "quality" time with Addy and Jax. But, since I took some vacation time and spent the whole week with the kids doing lots of kid stuff, I found out that I need a permanent vacation...unfortunately my student loans and credit cards don't think so though!
So needless to say, things are getting back to normal - JD got back from Canada this afternoon and we missed him - especially Addison. I had to go back to work about 3 hours after JD got home and this will be our last "free" weekend for while. Between work, family stuff, and weddings, we do not have a free weekend until after August...is summer over yet???
